Insulating Piercing Connector 30.001.510E
Insulating Piercing Connector 30.001.510E
Insulating piercing connectors for Low Voltage overhead lines
The low voltage insulating piercing connector is designed to derive or to connect insulated conductors during service and without removing their insulation. Its design avoid unwished movements and rotation during installation. Inside, the low voltage insulating piercing connector has a set of tinned copper teeth, which fasten the right contact, and an impregnated foam sealant to provide a long-term moisture protection. The body and the ironworks were designed in order to transmit and keep the right pressure, even in extreme temperature conditions and severe mechanical efforts. It also contains a calibrated mechanical fuse nut (spearhead), which helps in the right adjustment and torque control.
All metallic components are contact-free potential. A wire end cap is also provided to protect the end of the derived conductor. A sealed and waterproof whole results together with the insulated connector and the conductors. The connector and conductors create a sealed, water-proof and water-tight whole (6KV under water).
